Becoming Adolf

In Becoming Adolf, Rich Cohen explains the importance of the toothbrush mustache worn by Hitler. As the story continues, Cohen explains how he tried to wear the tootbrush mustache himself. However, Cohen learns that no one can wear the Hitler mustache other than Hitler himself.

During Becoming Adolf, Rich Cohen utilizes both personal experience and reseached information. The combination of the two makes for a good interpretation of Hitler, and the toothbrush mustache. By using the researched information almost like background information, Cohen helps the reader identify Hitler as a person, and how the mustache he grew was a symbol of himself, and "evil" in the eyes of many people. Cohen then does a fine job of integrating his own personal experience with the tootbrush mustache and how the mustache he wore brought looks from other people, and how he was evaded by people in society. This combination worked well in delivering a good story.
