Fast Food

1.Fast food influences life worldwide by providing a convenient and often cheap way to get a bite to eat on the go. This plays a major role in the economy of the United States, since most McDonald's signs state that they have served over 99 Billion people. It also negatively influences the consumer because it is considered very unhealthy to eat fast food on a regular basis.

2.After reading FFN, fast food affects life through the use of synergy. It is a combination of forces of marketing and advertising in newspapers, billboards, the internet, television, radio broadcasts, movies, and even in school hallways that give the American people the ability to recognize the Golden Arches before their own names. I was unaware that McDonald's capitalized on a time period where women were being inducted into the workforce which had caused an increased demand for food production outside of the home. Also, in that same time period, the United States had been experiencing a baby boom which sparked immense interest in marketing to children. McDonald's most effective ways to market to children include their playzones and their happy meal toys.
