Becoming Adolf

Rich Cohen combines his own experiences to explain to his readers about how powerful a mustache, particularly Hitler's mustache, has in politics. He explains about how all of the important political leaders had mustaches until Hitler came along and put a horrendous name to the mustache. Rich Cohen also figures out on his own what a powerful influence a Hitler mustache has on people.
The effect of the overall essay is pretty strong because it shows how powerful Hitler's mustache was and still is. It shows how the world can still be influenced by an evil person.
Rich Cohen learned that people judge by looks and if you have a toothbrush mustache like Hitler, you would not be take seriously. I learned that people do judge things by their cover and that something that is involved with an important event, like Hitler's mustache in relationship with the Holocaust, can still easily influence people.
